Has anyone installed 8.10 on Windows 2000? If so, have any problems been encountered?

Thanks,

Hi,

You mean Windows 2000 on the servers or on the workstations?

If you're talking about Fat clients, E810 runs great on
Windows 2000 SP4 workstations, XP SP2 runs OK though had
some annoying glitches with Debugger, TC and Workflow
crashing on French and Spanish Windows XP SP2.

On the server side, just Windows 2003 Server is supported.
On my humble opinion, I don't think there would be any
problem running E810 on Windows 2000 Server SP4, however
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO STAY ON SUPPORTED PLATFORMS.

Regards,

Runs just fine, but as said before, it is an unsupported OS from both viewpoints of Microsoft and Oracle. Therefore I'd recommend against using it.

Bill,
We are and have been running 8.10 on Windows 2000 since March of 2005. We recently upgraded to the 8.95 Tools Release (which is not supported on Windows 2000) after testing and have not had any issues except for updating the installer version on our Citrix servers.
