Missign file during Deplyment Server Installation

Hi folks,

I am installing E900 with Oracle local database on a Windows 2003 Deployment Server. It runs upto 17% (or so) and then ends with an error:

Error while processing registry file
E:\DS_TEMP\ismp001\3217475\data\e900-37ee3fcdb3394a6b958863f1ad3\9.00\assembly.dat+/5a3d3510040f22658535c1aca07e91a3/win32reg/bean105/BPMBroker.reg
(Apr 6, 2011 8:32:51 AM)

The file assembly.dat actually exists at the indicated location. But should there not be a space after file name and before the + sign?
I have no idea how I can influence this behavior.
Has anybody seen this before? I opened a call with Oracle support but maybe you guys are quicker to help getting me going.

Thanks, Gerd

Hi Gerd,

1. Please, open a DOS prompt and type
echo %temp%

Then, check how much disk space you have available
on that folder (typically c:\documents and settings\
<username>\local settings\temp)

2. Are you running the install via RDP?
If so, are you running it with a local admin account
and using the mstsc /admin or mstsc /console flag?

3. Finally, I heard that W2003 is not a supported platform
for E900, but I may be wrong.

Muchas gracias Sebastian.

As usual the List was faster then Oracle support.

I hope you´re correct with 1) and 2), I hope you´re wrong with 3).

I´ll let you know.

Thanks, Gerd

Hi,

Last but not least :

4. Faulty installation media (the CDs you downloaded
from eDelivery.Oracle.com)
It doesn't mean they're corrupted at Oracle site,
the file itself may corrupt during or after the
download process.

Good luck with your research!
Boa sorte!

Sebastian
