I am wanting to install a JDE Demo program on my laptop running Win 7. I have downloaded the 2-file version and 4-file version from Oracle per other comments/instructions on the web. When I try to run InstallManager.exe for either version, I get an error message that 'MFC71.DLL' is missing. Not sure what the issue is with this?
I am an applications guy that has been away from JDE for a few years and want to get my hands on a Demo version to feel my way around again. I am quasi-technical (i.e. I can spell 'S-Q-L') so; not a hard-core techie. Bottom line is I want to install a Demo version of E1 that is fairly recent on my laptop. Also, not sure whether to install the Oracle DB version or the MS SQL Server 200x version?
Any suggestions and easy to follow steps would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
