Hi all
I am trying to install Websphere 6.1 on AIX 5.3 but the installer won't run. When I run ./launchpad.sh a get a error that there is no supported web browser. We have tried to run this through an Xwindows session and I can run other apps (xclock) but not the Websphere install program. Do we have to get Xwindows to load a browser on the pc where we are running it from?
The JDE manual is unclear and it looks like it has copied and pasted from other manuals, but it mentions nothing about any setup for running launchpad.sh
Has anyone tried installing Websphere 6.1 on AIX? We arent on a new enough relase to run through server manager.
I am using the root user so rights shouldnt be a problem, but I dont know much about Xwindows or AIX.
Thanks
Kieran
AIX 5.3, ERP8.0, Sp24.0.2 (soon hopefully)
