First-Chance Exception error while debugging

Howdy,

I've got the erp 8 demo jr running on a 2003 Small Business Server (it was the machine with the most ponies in it) - and it seems to be running ok - till I try to debug in C

I believe I have all the C debugger all hooked up, correctly - but I get an error (after logging into the demo) of:
First-chance exception in activeConsole.exe (NTDLL.DLL): 0xC0000008: Invalid Handle.

Then the demo hangs.

Any thoughts?

When I kick up the C++ debugger, I get the following error message:
First-chance exception in activeConsole.exe (NTDLL.DLL): 0xC0000008: Invalid Handle.

Has anyone else gotten that error message? Could it be related to Terminal Services (remote control) on a Windows 2003 Server?

If you have any suggestions - I am all eyes!

Was C++ installed PRIOR to your installation of Standalone?

C was installed, prior to the standalone (I've lost that battle before - and I learned from it)

OK - mark this one up for a 'tupid-developer' issue...

Here's what happens:
* F5 from C to start the JDE5
* Log into standalone
* Get 'First-Chance' exception error
* Click OK
* screen goes to C Debugger for assembly
* 'Tupid-Developer panics


Here, the 'tupid-developer should have alt-tabbed back into OW (and I didn't - I just froze)...

Still don't know what causes the issue (grrrr)

Daniel,

I obtained a copy from a client.

The Demo JR (JDE StandAlone) is available to Clients, Partners and 'solid' prospects. If you are neither - you could try to contact PPS and see if they can provide a copy (everyone has to learn, test and debug from somewhere)....
