Develpoing on a portable

I remember a thread from some months ago about doing development work on Demo Jr, but don`t know the results of the discussion. Basically, can I develop a Demo Jr object on the portable and then transfer it to a "real" environment?
If so how do I transfer it (eg, can it be e-mailed from an island in the south Pacific)? and is it possible to move an object from the "real" environment onto the PC, develop it and move it back?

I think I threw in my .02 on that original thread.
The best I have been able to do(without 3rd party
software) is to install demo jr and a "Real" phat
client on the same machine (usually a laptop). Then
checkout the objects to the DV pathcode. Then move
(via windows) the folders/files from DV to DEMO subdir
in B&. When you go into demo you have the DV objects.
At that point develop all you want. I have always
moved the folders and files back so that I can check
into DV. However, I would imagine that you could take
the spec files/source (from DEMO) and burn to a CD-ROM
and mail (snail-mail) it to a different location.
Then "move" those files into the b7/DEV directory.
You would have to have that objected checked out to
that phat client before begining so that you can check
it in.

Just a shot in the dark. (a very long shot)
