ASU\'s in XE

HELP

I am installing ASU's in XE. Just about every time I do this only a merge report is shown R96701 (Software Update History Report).

The object install status shows this as a SELECTED FOR MERGE.

Once this report is shown, the system come back and says the ASU is installed correctly. However this is not true, as it does not merge the objects correctly.

Any help woould be appreciated. We are looking at a large mass of ASU's in the future

My system is a SUN/oracle 8.17/XEu2/SP17_015

Re: ASU\'s in XE

JDEXE,

Have you looked at your jde.log? What does the Custom Install Plan say for that ASU? Note: You'll have to drill down through the custom plan to find the part(s) that failed or didn't process.

Hope this helps.

Dan

Thanks for the response. I have checked the Custom Install Plan and
there is no plan for the ASU's I have tried to load.

I am logged into the Deployment Server under JDEPLAN as a administrator
on the W2000 server as well.

I am doing a full build at the moment, but as soon as this is done I
will do a update reinstall and then try to reinstall the ASU. I am
trying to generate some logs for this ube that run

I looked at my install plan. It seems that the ASU is reporting a
duplicate conversion or merge.

Any ideas why? Can I reset the status and then try it again. If yes what
are the best steps ie finalize, validate and then complete the plan?

Thanks

RE: ASU\'s in XE

i finally cracked this.

If you receive an ASU it needs to have a unique Target Release Level.
All ASU we received were coded with the JDE manuals UDc called B7333PP.
This has to be unique for each ASU. I suggest you use the PLAN Name. JDE
has rasied this as an issue in Tech Flashes.

Thanks for the help
