Transaction log size?

Hi all,

Could anybody else who is backing up transaction logs on SQL every half hour please post the average size of each log file as well as the amount of concurrent users? We are having some large file sizes and was wondering what was 'normal'!!!

Paul,

We back up transaction logs every 15 minutes and the average size during the
day is between 5,000 and 10,000 KB. They get considerably bigger when we
run our night processes. We have about 80 concurrent users.

With 100 concurent users doing financials and payroll (13,000+ employee paychecks weekly), generates 30 minute T-Logs between 5mb and 500mb through the business day. Average total size of all TLOG's for 1 day is about 2gb.
