P4210 adds new line when revising order line

Hi all!

We have a slight problem with SO Entry P4210
Occasionally, when a user is revising an order line (changes price or scheduled pick date) the revised line is not changed. In stead, a new line is added on the order with the changes.
This only happens for orders with Transportation. The shipment number for the extra line is 0 (zero)
There are now warnings or error messages shown..

I could not find existing SAR:s/Calls in Knowledge Garden..

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

B7332 (sigh) running on NT, no modifications
Transportation module active
No Template/Quote/Blanket orders
Preference profile procesing trned OFF in processing options

Yes, We get this problem on and off. When we, as the programmers, tried to trouble shoot it, the problem does not replicate. When Edwards cannot replicate he problem, Edwards will close the call. This only happened on the thin clients so far.

Hi - I have seen this once before relating to the R42118 batch release
program that is called from P4210... are you using backorders?

Hi there!

No, we're no using backorders. The "Check Availability" flag is OFF for all items. "Allow Backorders" is OFF for all items, customers and branches.
I have not been able to establish any pattern, seems like the extra line is created randomly...
The program ID (PID) in the F4211 and F42199 table is "P4210" for all lines and the time updated TDAY is identical for the original line and the extra line so the line is most probably created by P4210
Regards..

Are you using Transportation or Advanced Warehousing? thanks, Bobby

Hi Bobby!
Yes, we are using Transportation but do not use Adv. Warehousing (location control is ON)
All the extra lines so far are for orders with transportation but, then again, this order type accounts for 90% of all orders.
Seems like the F49211 line does not get written for the system generated SO line (the line we do not want). Quite logical as it has no shipment number anyway.

Regards..
