P41002 Item Branch Conversions

Conversions are held at Item Master and can be viewed from the row exit from F41026 Item Branch. If you change a conversion at an Item Branch, ALL conversions change across all Branch Plants. We manufacture products (same item number) across a number of different Branches. The BOMs differ slightly resulting in different product weights. We don't wish to create alternate branch specific item numbers. The total shipment weight prints on our despatch dockets. Freight companies bill us on these weights, trucks also have a legal weight requirement. Is it possible to set up discrete conversions by Branch Plant for an item?

There's a system constant to set that allows branch specific unit of measure
conversions. Go to the Branch/Plant Constants program and take the form
exit to the System Constants.

Yes... if you go to the G4241 menu and click on Branch/Plant Constants..
there will be an option for System Constants... you can turn off or turn on
whether to do UOM conversions by branch. thanks, Bobby
