JDE HR Tables and Data Security

The company I am working for is starting a new project to implement JDE HR modules. There is a justifiable concern about data security.

Currently we run E1 in production for Distribution, Supply Chain, and Finance modules. The HR modules will be new.

I would like to get some feedback from other JDE HR customers (not necessarily PSFT customers) that utilize other JDE modules. I would like to know how they protect their data from 3rd party developers/contractors as well as unauthorized users & developers of E1.

We are trying to determine what is the best approach for protecting our HR data while keeping a relatively open and stable environment on the development, test, and production instances of SC, Finance, etc. that are already being used.

There are 2 schools of thought being considered:

A. Lock down all E1 app and db access in all environments and then merge in the HR "environment"

B. Segregate the HR-related tables onto a separate database server and lock down the other server. Use OCM mappings to tie the data from the different environments.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You should consider an "all doors closed" security policy and then grant to specific roles/users access to the HCM applications and tables. Business Unit security will only provide segregation between users that already have general access to the HCM applications and tables.
Many other posts here will help you understand the "all doors closed" model.

We went the all doors closed persepective and actually locked out the applications and main tables of the HR Modules so that no one could access them. Another thought is if you went the BU security route this can cause issues with other users if they need access to other business units for purchasing requirements, but not for HR duties. An issue that we came across with the all doors locked was reporting needs for sources that typically do not have access to HR data but maybe need to know what department an employee is assigned, we would either schedule the reports or grant access to just that users role for that data item. It can get hairy in a hurry.

For the role of moves in the game to take classes TPS (Third Person Shooter) mode. Game, players through screen prospective heart aim at the enemy, instead of the traditional RPG's keys or mouse delineation. The setting of neverwinter astral diamonds is also very special.
