Hi guy,
has anyone install Microsoft jdbc for SQL2000 Server for JAS?
Does they work correctly?
Thanks in advance
Gigi

Check out document #OTI-01-0259. According to this document SQL 2000 is not
supported for JAS.

We are using the Microsoft JDBC type 4 driver to interface with our SQL 2000
database for JAS.

It works correctly.

Re: RE: JAS and SQL2000

Hi Bill,
but wich is your configuration? (Xe, SP?, SQl2000)
Have you already generated objects?

Thanks Gigi

We are part of the beta program for both Microsoft and JDE in the JDBC type
4 driver for interfacing JAS with SQL 2000.

SQL2000 in not certified.
May the support for SQL Server 2000 in the web server configuration is
expected in the Xe > SP18 or maybe more because there is not
a driver to works fine. This is not a problem of JDEdwards.
IBM merant driver is expected to resolve this situation not yet working.
The Microsoft type 4 JDBC driver is still in Beta at this time.
Good luck

Hi Gigi -

Are OS is Windows 2000. We have generated objects multiple times.

The Microsoft JDBC type 4 driver is working with SQL Server 2000 and there
is no problem with it at all. It has not be certified by JDE yet but that
is forthcoming.

We have an install using this configuration and there are no problem at all.

It is being used in our Xe install for the UK where users will access
OneWorld via the HTML client.
