Websphere tuning

Hi list,

I am having intermittent refresh screen (that web page with a animated gear gif on the left of the page) when running HTML version of OneWorld Xe applications. When I was entering a journal, I got the refresh page at unexpected timing. Sometimes faster and sometimes slower. It was ok to run the address book revision. When I got the refresh web page, there is no hope getting any data/web page back. All I can do is to start a new session.

Is there any problem in the Websphere setting? JAS.ini?

We has a similar problem with session timeouts even though the UserSession in the JAS.ini was set to 1 hour (3600000 milliseconds). The timeout was traced to the SessionManager servlet under SE_OneWorld_nn. Check the Intervals tab. Here you specify the "invalidate time" in seconds. Ideally this should match the time in the JAS.ini. Remember though that the ini file is in milliseconds but WebSphere is in seconds. Once we set this we no longer had the problem.
