Static Text Update

Hi,

Please give the solution to update the static text at Run time in FDA.

There is a system function "Set Control Text" I believe it's called. You pop in the name of the static text control and the string representing what you want it to be, and viola.

That's part of the solution. First you'll need to associate a data dictionary item (like DL01) to the static text control.

It works as a simple assignment to FC Static Text, at least on XE SP23.

hi zoltan, that's interesting, cuz what i stated above was based on my xe-experience as well:

- simple assignment doesn't work;
- Set Control Text only works if a dd item is associated with the static text control in question.

i checked with xe demo just now, but that one has sp19, so perhaps they changed it in later versions.

I've checked in XE , SetControlText system function help me to change the static text .

Without Associating the DD also SetControlText is working fine.
