E9.2 BIP. Displaying Bulletpoints from TextMO

Hi
Is there any way to display bullet points from a text media object on to BIP PDF?

I'm using ER api 'Media Objects(GT4301, <Get Text>...'
The UBE's XML contains carriage returns but strips out the bullet points.

I thought it might be encoding so I tried UTF-8 and CP1252 but it didn't work

The media object functions only retrieve the text. It does not retrieve the RTF formatting.
