A7 or A8? How to find from a PC?

Would anybody be able to tell me how I can get the version of World, either A7 or A8? from a remote PC?

Not sure if this is what you want... Sign onto JDE's main menu. Type: 97 (a hidden selection).

Just type 25 (hidden selection too)...
version and CUM will appear at botton right

You can also enter DSPJDELVL on a command line.

however, by "remote PC" i assume that you mean that you do not have a 5250 emulator and are accessing the iseries by other means such as FTP or telnet. in which case you ftp/telnet into the iseries system and, assuming the user profile has appropriate authority, check jdfobj/t97300. the last record in the file will have the release version in field A9RLS and the PTF level in A9PTFL . This is the same info that is displayed when using DSPJDELVL, selection 25 and is where the entire list displayed by selection 97 comes from.
