Hi all,
As we all know , PeopleSoft recommends using OLEDB for SQL Server datasources in 8.9 and 8.10. Now there seem to be issues with OLEDB datasources , these are detailed in the KG Document - 200949255. The resolution is to change the Central Object and System Datasource back to ODBC from OLEDB.
So those of you planning to go in for an 8.10 upgrade or intsall and you use SQL 2000 as your database, you are better off configuring all your datasources as ODBC datasources I guess
Also GSC tells me that they plan to make ODBC the recommended type in 8.11 due to the problems they currently face with OLEDB.
Hope this info is of help
