Print Immediate Problem with SP22_S1

We tried to install SP22_S1 and test it by using multiple foundation method. We put DV on the SP22_S1 and left PY and PD on the SP19.1_E1.

Now, Print Immediate function does not work at all in DV, no matter it is set in JDE.ini, check the option when submitting the UBE, or print directly from the Submitted Job application.

The Print immediate function still work fine in PY and PD.

Did anyone encounter similar issue? If you had it solved, how did you do it? Please advise.

We found the solution to our problem!

We guessed the reason we had this problem was we used the multiple-foundation approach on the same enterprise server. To do so, we named the new foundation path as B7334SP22 with DV7334 and kept PY7334 and PD7334 under the old foundation, B7334.

The first part of printing process could not find the right place (traditional paths) to write a temporary file so it worte the temp file to the root directory. The second part of printing process checked the settings of netTemporaryDir under the section [JDENET] in JDE.INI on the enterprise server. It was set to d:\JDESAWTemp. Since the temp file was written to the root directory so the second part of printing process could not find the temp file so it just quit.

After changing the setting of netTemporaryDir to d:\, the Print Immediate function and the Print button in the Submitted Job Workbench worked.

BTW, GSS did not do any help. They only asked us to send in log files and did nothing for almost a week.
