Reduce logging doesn\'t work
Hi everybody,
(Short version: how come Reduce Logging Detail in the P98230 doesn't work for me? Xe Update 6 SP 20, SQL Server, W2k/W2k)
I just spent a lovely weekend migrating PY7333 to PD7333. Since my business consultants haven't figured out how to check things into Central Objects when they're done, I spent a lot of time in the OMW checking things in and promoting them to 38.
There were errors, of course. I thought I would be clever and reduce logging detail-- specifically getting rid of these codes:
131N - Object ready to be transferred/deleted
145K - Action call for Object returned Success
147U - Before and After counts
In an OMW project with 150 members, these items can make up 95% of the log, and I really only ever read the log to look for 145J (Action call for Object returned error).
So I opened the list, found these items, and clicked them so they had a red "X" next to them. I made sure I had the checkbox for "Reduce Logging Detail" checked. Then I tried promoting an OMW project.
It didn't work. I still had my zillion 131Ns, 145Ks, and 147Us.
Why doesn't this work? Is it just me? Is there a workaround? Will Dan and Marsha ever get married?
