Replication between database types - in Xe

Has anyone attempted (or does anyone know) whether Publisher/Subscriber table replication is allowed between different database types in OneWorld Xe?

(Between AS/400 with DB2 and Intel with SQL/2000)

Theoretically it should be allowed. Original data replication was designed
to work between any RDB and MS-Access. Until B7331 JDE suggested to keep
replicated Menu and UDC tables in a local mdb file and update them via data
replication.
OW should be able to handle the differences with it's middle ware.

But ... do you really want to mess with JDE data-replication?
