can you provide Oracle references for the statement regarding the internal web server? Would like to know becausw we're in the middle of setting this up with 9.1 tools.

Oracle web cache can only be configured with OHS. There is a big performance difference I've seen with Oracle Web Cache compared to direct Weblogic.

However, you asked for references - so heres a few referenced documents. First of all, the reason OHS exists is detailed in Oracles product website :

By the way, I've been at customers just prior to go-live where Oracle audits the technical configuration - and this a point that Oracle themselves always seem to make. Of course, I can't divulge specific customer documents - but I am trying to find something on Oracles website that also indicates this above the other links I already provided.

I was wondering... is OHS included in the tech foundation?
I know web cache is.
