Weighted Average Cost with Inventory Writedowns

We are looking at implementing lot control with average cost at the lot level (actual cost). We want to have the ability to perform inventory aging with markdowns/writedowns of our inventory based upon receipt date. Is there any existing functionality in EnterpriseOne that allows us to create journal entries to writedown our inventory valuations based upon age of inventory lots?

- If we could we would like to get rid of lost but still maintain the idea of aging our inventory based upon receipt date. Does anybody have any ideas?
