Using JDE scheduler app for PY and PD

We are on E1 9.0 tools 8.98.4.10 windows/SQL platform

Just wondering if any folks are using scheduler for multiple environments, and if so, does that work well ? I recall reading somewhere its not the preferred thing to do.

We do have 2 schedulers running. One for DV/PY and one for PD. We are running multi-foundtation - one for DV/PY and another for PD. We did this so that we can use the DV/PY scheduler to test ESUs applied to the scheduler app and to test tools updates that impact the scehduler.
To do this, you have to have a different datasource set for the one of the instances (in our case we setup a different datasource for the DV/PY instance) to contain the F91300,310 and 320 tables. In our case, we used the server map data source since our DV/PY instance is on it's own IBM i lpar.
