Update segmented LITM

Who can help me with advice about update segmented 2 Item number?

To update the segments of a segmented item, you must have processing option
11 in item master set to display templates. You should also setup the
global update option of the item master set to 1 or 2 per your policy and
process.

Of course, I set up processing options. But segment's form controls is disabled.
IMHO, I have 2 variants:
A) Use Z tables interfaces (export to f4101z1, change field and re-import to f4101, and finally global update)
B) Disable global update, Update F4101 directly by sql statements and finally run R41803 (batch global 2nd Item number update)
