Hi,
Been a while and I hope I can get all the information needed to get some answers from you all. This is our scenario.
We are on XE Update 4 SP23_H1 on an AS400 database. We installed XE Update 8 in a seperate environment but shared the Object Librarian tables. The idea was that doing so would allow us to code compare objects between XE Update 4 and XE Update 8. What we did not realize was that Update 8 actually had changes on the OL tables. eg. A Business function was changed to Client only from Client server etc. This caused us issues with our full builds.
We decided to revert back and had discussions with Oracle on this as well. The idea was to restore the OL tables from before the Update 8 install, build a full package and go on our merry way.
Restoring and building a full DV worked fine. When testing, we are able to work with objects, check in, checkout and do the regular activities with no issues. Even the OMW loggin seems fine. But we are seeing weird error messages on the jde.log especially when doing the business view design aid. The below log is when I open a V4111F base business view. It almost looks like it is unable to figure out the table specs.
