UBE Failure

We are experiencing an intermittent UBE failure (typically) in our custom UBE's.

To the user the UBE is processing, but it has actually stopped running on the AS/400.

A log on the AS/400 reads as follows:

In SIGALL handler
Exception message ID is MCH3601
Signal raised is 5

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how have you addressed it?

ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

Ed -

We are on an old release (7321).

To minimize our net problems, we restart them (we have one net for every
department (Finance, Cust service, warehouse, etc.) every night and we have
increased the IPC range as we run more more UBEs on the nets.

Want a copy of a net INI file?

Ed,

This problem is addressed in JDE SAR 5333314 (which has not yet been released). This SAR is for a problem reported in call # 02028603-001 where a driver UBE was running other UBEs multiple times. It seems that the workaround is to go into Version Revision for all the affected UBEs and check 'Suppress All Output' on the Report Property tab and the submit the version to the enterprise server (assuming that the UBEs are not producing needed reports.).

Hi,

we too are experiencing this same problem and I note that we are on the same SP level and platform. Just recently we have had this occuring on a daily basis on a subsystem UBE which is being triggered approximately 400 times a day. The error occurs as below:

We also get it occasionaly on a large invoice print job R42565.
Two leads so far, SAR 5333314 as already mentioned, and also 5354457 reagrding Adobe double byte printing problems.

Anybody else getting these MCH3601 errors? Your help would be appreciated.

We are experiencing the same issue, but on an intermittent basis.
Have you been able to resolve this issue? If so what was the solution?
