Return Material Authorization (RMA) at World A73; custom enhancement available?

Do you know of anyone who has customized WorldSoftware A73 to add Return
Material Authorization (RMA) functionality? RMA is the approval from
the supplier for the customer to return product(s) for a credit, a
replacement, or a repair. I understand that Release 9 is scheduled to
include RMA

- Currently, we create a credit sales order from the original order in
F42199 on the iSeries and issue the credit to the customer. all in JDE.

But external to JDE (in a database not on the iSeries), we specify the
reason why each item is being returned and store this historical data in
a file. Management approval code also.
Our management wants to keep a record of why products are being
returned, and quantities and dollar amounts over time. It would be nice
to do this on the iSeries so as to avoid maintaining a database that is
similar to F42199.

We do RMAs via World (we used cum 9, are now cum 13, it didn't change). We use an RT order type, RT line type. We kludge a bit, we pre-printed the RMA instructions, and then just print a straight JDE pick ticket (P42520) over the pre-print. We don't collect info on why the item is returned in JDE (we use our quality system), but you could enter the reasons in the text option for each return line.
