Pricing In Different UOM

We have a problem with advanced pricing.
We seem to have the following scene:
If our customer buys the items as singles (EA) we charge a base price of £2.
If our customer buys the same item as a Bag (BG) we charge a base price of £1.50.
The same discounts are applied to both.
We seem to be strugling with the setup of this. Can anyone help

I'd be glad to take a look. Send me some screen shots of your setup, and
the results in Order Entry. And a few more details such as how many EA in a
BG. Give me a couple days and I'll get back to you with some ideas.

Mark,

In your base price you have a UoM, the pricing UoM in the sales order is used to retrieve this base price. (you can set this UoM using a preference profile).
In your advanced pricing adjustment you use to same UoM to attach a discount to this UoM, therefore you can have the some, or different, discount for each UoM.

Re: RE: Pricing In Different UOM

That's not exactly true Andre. The retrieval unit of measure used can be specified in the System Constants table. They may have Pricing Uom selected, or Transaction Uom, or Primary Uom specified. Failing to find either of the first two, the system will default to Primary Uom for retrieving a price.

Mark, talk to Andy about your setup. He's the guru on this board for pricing setup and such trickery.

There are a couple things to review. Are you using pricing by customer or
by Branch or by item? There is a UM specified in the price table. Both
UM's will need to be setup. For example EA = £2 and BG = £9 (using the
assumption that there are 6 EA in a bag). The item master UM would also
have to be setup (or IB UM if you have the constants set accordingly). If
the customer orders a bag, he would show ordering 1 BG for £9 and when
inventory is relieved, it would relieve 6 EA from inventory.
