OutOfMemoryError in WebSphere

Hey Every once in a while(few times a week) I get this memory error in WebSphere java.lang.OutOfMemoryError. This results in the web clients getting "White Screens". Has any one else had this, or fixed this. Also I've noticed that Java.exe process is taking up most of the memory.

Websphere is version 4.0.4 running on Windows 2000 Server.
Java 2 runtime Enviroment Standard Edition v 1.3.1_01
Database server is AS/400 running V5R2.

There is a java patch out on the IBM website. We had the same issue and we are on 4.0.5. Once the patch was installed we no longer have that issue.

Sounds good - have you a pointer to where the patch is or the patch number?

Don't have a pointer, but there is also a document on the PCC that discusses this issue. You'll need to update the JAVA Client for WebSphere. IBM has the free patch.
