oracle standard edition one

Xe currently - Wintel - ORACLE - web client except for developers

Has anybody had any experience with standard edition one running under JDE. Our current thinking is that we might break the developemnt space away from the production space and run each on separate database servers (with SYS and SVM etc. on th eproduction server). The dev team isn't huge so we can licence the oracle per named user.

I know that the MTRs do not include standard edition one and it doesn't look man enough to run a production instance but for < 10 users it ought to work.... anybody know different?

Should certainly work. I know sites running Standard in Production without any issues.

Indeed, Alex, we're running Standard for production at the moment. What I'm hoping to find is someone who is running with data sources split across two (or more) servers and in particular anybody who has run up SandardEdition One in that context.

In the meantime, hey I've got a spare dataset nobody's using lets see what happens.
