Last Post Dates

One of the ways I look at posts here is to see if a particular forum has had a post since I last looked, in the Main index. For example the Last Post in the Download forum is showing as ‘Re: Julian Date Converter (PSJ) - 10/19/06 06:35 AM’. When I go into the Downloads Forum (sorted in date order descending) the first, non sticky, post is ‘Help!!! About BussnisFunction :copy records to text file – 10/13/06 08:28’. The actual last post is eighth in the list and has a date and time of 12/01/05 10:43. When you open that thread it shows the last post as 10/19/06 06:35.

It's because the sort is on primary posts, not the threads.

On the forum the column header states "Last Post" and it is on this I would expect the sort, which it is on other forums. A further thing - On 12th January 2007 I posted a reply to a post originally posted on 19th December 2006 now the last post date is showing I posted on the 19th December 2006. I mention this as I only look at forums if the last post date is later than the last time I looked.
