Has anyone got any info on using LANDesk to manage FAT Clients/deployments etc...?

We are using LANDesk in conjunction with OneWorld on the PC's and it has been nothing but nightmares. The SDISTHX.exe executable, that is kicked off as part of the many INTEL service’s that are installed with LANDesk, has sporadically caused the workstations to lockup or external executables like UTBrowse, RDA, FDA, etc. when OneWorld is running. For remote desktop management, the best solution I have found is Netmeeting. It’s packaged with Windows 2000, XP and can be downloaded for the previous releases of Windows. Best of all it is free.

Cheers,

So having pushed packages out to machines using LanDesk, you then find issues with certains exes/programs within that package?

Also have you tried using the push install - I have seen many discussions on this and have not been able to get this up and running myself.

We do not use LanDesk to push update packages. We have used the OneWorld
Listener on a limited basis. For most of the workstations we deploy the
update packages and make the mandatory.
