Journal entry for minor write offs

Is it possible to pass journal entry to write off minor balances of various customers with one debit to G/L account and multiple credits to various customers. This is required while making year-end audit adjustments.

If using Accounts Receivable functionality, then you should be adjusting the
customer's account from the A/R perspective - not directly to the G/L.
Entering a journal directly to the G/L will not integrate back to A/R.

In order to maintain system intergity, you can't write
off minor amounts only in the GL. You would need to
write these off in AR. AR does have processing
options that allow for minor writed offs and
adjustments during the course of cash receipts. These
are setup and controlled in the processing options of
the receipts entry programs.

Re: RE: Journal entry for minor write offs

Is there a way to enter adjustments without having to add MANY AII entries for RA GL offset? It would be nice if there was some type of functionality like invoice entry where you could enter a GL distribution.

I am thinking in order to enter the adjustments you will need to have AAIs setup for each type of adjustment then use Manual Receipts Entry to enter the Customer Ledger adjustments and hit the appropriate GL accounts.
