Installation of 812 with 8.97 tool set

Hi,

We want to install the 812 with 8.97 tool set.

is it necessary to install the 8.96 tool set first.

As i read in 8.97 tool set, server manager is introduced. so how we have to proceed to complete the installation.

please tell us which document we should refer.

Hi,

You don't need to install 896 tools before 897, you can
start right at 897 or 898

There's a lovely Server Manager document available
on JDE Metalink3 site, search for "Server Manager install"
documentation, it's very clearly explained.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact document name.
