How to Populate F3118

Hello Listers,

I was trying to find out on how we can populate F3118 using a Batch program.

Currently we are trying to create the entries through Interactive application, where in the Shortages are included to create these entries and this is taking a lot of time to enter all the shortages manually.

I believe JDE might have given a Batch which I can run on F3111 to generate these shortages. This will save a lot of time to my users in shop floor.

If your shop has programming skills it should be fairly simple to write a batch program that populates the F3118 file.

In essence, we skip thru Work Orders (F4801) that fall within specific status ranges, check their Parts Lists (F3111) for Issue Type I items that are short -or- are on backorder and then write each component and its associated information to the shortage file.
