Flex Accounting & Financial AAIs

When using program P40296 (Work with Flexible Sales Accounting) there is a field labeled "AAI-FInancial". I understand that flexible accounting does not work with financial AAIs. When I queried our JDE consultant about this field, she told me that the field did nothing at this time but was there for future enhancements (presumably to allow flexible accounting with financial AAIs). Has anyone hear whether this use is still planned and if so, when?

Have you heard anymore about this functionality?
We are looking to use flex accounting for our
sales order implementation. Is there any documentation
out there that goes over flex accounting for sales order
in depth?

During sales update, I run into an issue where the system
is unable to create the flex accounting for the freight line that
I add during ship confirmation.

Someone had suggested setting up freight as an item # so
that it can be attached to the SRP category codes, which
we use for our flex accouting.
