Estimated Salvage Value in Item Master

Hi all

Could anyone please let me know where I can add an Estimated Salvage Value in the Asset Master.

We have some assets with a value and some without but I can't see how the number is being entered - whether interactively or imported.

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

Thanks Mike

I can see the F1202 field Salvage Amount (FLTKER) in the Depreciation Screen however I am having trouble locating a screen with the F1201 field Estimated Salvage Value (FAAESV).

Any thoughts?

They are one in the same. The salvage amount IS an
estimate of what value the asset will hold at the end
of it's useful life. You can change this field
periodically and your depreciation will take the new
amount into account and adjust the depreciation
calculation accordingly.

Malcom,
you can find the estimated salvage value in the Depreciation information
screen.
From the item Master, select an item and press Depreciation Information from
the Row Menu...and you will find the salvage value in the last column.

Here is a great way to find out what the program number and form name a data item is used in.

If you have FastPath, type in P980011 (Cross Reference Facility). If not, go to your OneWorld menus and follow the path directory below:
Foundation Systems/Tools/Application Documentation Tools and double click Cross Reference Facility.

On the Data Items tab, choose the first option of "Forms using a Data Item". Type in AESV in the Data Item Name field and click the Find button. It will list each interactive application and the form number of where this data item is being used.

Within this cross reference directory there are a lot of other great queries. Take time to explore them because they can be life savers whenever you are researching things. I hope this helps.
