Equipment Master needs S/WM Constants switched on?

Hi all,
I'm currently configuring Asset Management in 8.10 and found the error "S/WM Constants Not Found" when using Equipment Master Revisions P1702.

Turning on the the constant "S/WM Installed" in Service & Warranty Constants P17001 removes the error but I don't know the consequences. I've searched on this forum and Oracle Support without luck.

Can anyone tell me if this is the correct course of action and anything to be aware of if this option does indeed need to be turned on?? Thanks.

(BTW I had a look through the P1702 code and it appears the F17001 record needs to exist with F17001.CSFL = 1 otherwise the constants error is generated).

Yes the SWM Constants are now required in EAM and your manual, on Capital
Asset Management, would indicate its usage including additional parameters
in SWM extension sections in the address book and items that are used.
