EDI 865 / ORDRSP

Hi e-people

Has anybody out there in EDI land had any success with EDI Purchase Order Change Acknowledgements (process 865 (ANSI) / ORDRSP (EDIFACT)). I want to use R47142 to populate the outbound tables F47146/F47147 and even though the basics seem to work, I cannot believe how poorly written and full of errors the UBE is (and there are NO SARs available):
* Inserts into the tables contain fields not in the business view
* Some Processing options are passed out instead of in to the data structures
* Allowable Change Code table is hard coded in the UBE
* Change code is not passed through the datastructure when inserting a record into F47147
* No code whatsoever exists for using EDI settings in customer billing instructions

Surely using process 865 is not unique. Have others just shrugged their shoulders or made their own amendments? It doesn't look like it would be too hard to fix some of these issues, but rather than re-inventing the wheel, I would ilke to hear from anybody who has encountered similar issues.

Rgds,

Hi Sef... I have done EDI 865, but not in OW in the last couple of years...
I do know that the EDI stuff in the Customer Billing Instructions never
worked in OW in any of the EDI stuff... it was a reminent of World... let me
know...thanks, Bobby

Thanks for that answer Bobby

Can you remember if you got Change Codes to Work? I have successfully changed the UBE to now copy reason codes into change codes, but I am just wondering why I can't find any documentation and nobody who seems to have used this.

Do you (or anybody else) know if the customer billing instructions are used anywhere in EDI. If this is the case I can copy the logic to R47132. The main area I am interested in, is to automatically export (and to really push things, to Import) TUN (or UPC / EAN) numbers to the outbound table without the need to maintain an additional cross reference table.

Surely somebody must have played with this a bit more????

In hopefull anticipation.......

Hi there... as far as I know.. logic was still in the P47011... but that's
the only place I knew the logic was there... but it was disabled. Now that
was in B732 ... I am not sure if it's still there in OW but it might be
worth a shot! Thanks, Bobby
