IWDSE (I Would Do Something Else)...
If you are going to hire PPS HR/PR folks to work on an E1 installation - you
may as well hire SAP to do the work for you... There will be similarities -
BUT REMEMBER - these two wholy-seperate products have never been married;
nor should there be any expectation of similarity.
Hire an Access Developer to work on your E1 - it would be about the same
affect (no, I am not slamming Access).
Maybe you are looking the wrong place for an E1 HR/PR persons (hey, I did
that a year ago)... depending on your location - there might be a whole
bunch of them around (there are three that live in the Atlanta area - and
fly everywhere to work on other HR/PR stuff).
PARIMAL - are you still doing HR/PR stuff?
Cyret - They have several 'senior-level' folks that I would put on HR/PR ...
long before I would put a PPS person into the queue.
My suggestion - hire someone that already knows the mix. Generally speaking
- a PPS consultant will not know the foundation of E1's Gotcha's! Hire the
BEST - Hire within E1. Don't Pay for OTC - especially when it comes to
HR/PR (remember, your check may come from PR, too).
Email me direct (
[email protected]) and I can put you in touch with
three firms that recruit for E1 - and know the difference between PPS and E1
when it comes to their practice. A PPS resume is NOT an E1 resume (and too
darn many recruiters do not know the difference - heck, too many CIOs don't
know the difference).
