Dynamically Launch Interactive Application

Hi All, I have an interesting requirement. Basically, we want to launch an application dynamically from a grid row where the application and version names are stored in two columns. I looked at the code in the P983051 ( fast path IV) but it works only on the fat clients. Is there a way to launch an application on the web client ( server ) if we know the application name and version name??
