DOUBLE SALES UPDATE (R42800)!!!

Yesterday my client has got bad situation: double sales update! Situation: day before yesterday we run sales update on range of orders (data selection including 'Next Status Not Equal To 999'); R42800 worked, all orders had status 620-999 (Last-Next). Yesterday night R42800 AGAIN processed this orders inspite of data selection! And now we have double RI's (invoices) for all orders, and our orders in status '999-999' (Last-Next)!! I have no words... Please, help!! Why did this happened??! And what we should do to suppress such incidents in future??! THANKS!!

Hi,

Did your doubled up items create additional lines on the sales order?
Is your Cardex doubled up?
Is Ship Confirm automated or done manually?
(If manually, it is possible to ship confirm twice.
I know, we've proven it a few times here.)

How are your sales orders entered? Manual or Automated?

Thanks! Answer to your questions:
1) inventory ship confirm has been done using Sales Update;
2) in CARDEX we have only one true record;
3) orders have been created from EDI-table F47011/F47012 with R47011 batch!

Hi,

Do you purge R47018 daily?

Is it possible that your Sales Order came into EDI 2x?
Does EDI write your Sales Order # or are you using JDE next number?
If EDI writes your Sales Order #,it is possible that the Sales Order came in 2x.

I'm not 100% sure, as I would have expected to see doubled up Cardex records and different line # on the Sales order.

The only other thing I have seen is that someone was Ship Confirming the same time it was automated to do so, but again, you'd see doubled up Cardex records.
