You have to "own" the Seagull developer kit for either J Walk or GUI/400
depending on what you are using. What I did was create a subwindow on the
menu panel (#3564 in cum 13) so that there are two sets of push buttons and
texts for options 1-24. One is normal grey, the other a much darker grey
with white foreground. Since our naming conventions for environments
always requires PROD to be included in production, it was easy to set the
visibilty of the subwindows based on that partial comparison. End result
is that Production looks normal, Non-Production has the darker grey
background.
Unfortunately, it is way too much work to have this on every panel. Users
agreed that having it at the menu level was sufficient.

Is there a way to have GUI display differently for different environments?
I toggle between our test environment and production environment frequently
and it would be nice if there was a way to have unique displays (i.e.
different fonts or colors) for each environment.
