Despatch Groups

Hello,
Can anybody through some light on following querry :
1.Can we set up Disptach Group for two similar machine which are having different Machine rates ?
2.What are benefits or advantages of setting despatch group (as we can not use it in routing P3003 )

To answer your query:

Dispatch Groups are used for Reporting purposes. A Dispatch Group is a Work Center that represents a Group of other Work Centers. They have nothing to do with the Rate as the Dispatch Group has no conection to Product Costing or Manufacturing Accounting.

Apart from Reporting (ie, Data Selection) the only functionality you will find in the system is in Capacity Planning where you can roll-up Capacity from a group of Work Centers into their Dispatch Group.

1.Can we define one Work Center for Two no of machines having similar rates?
2.In this case this work center will be under different Despatch Groups.
