Debugger and 8.10 demo

My 810 demo won't run the debug tool. I get the following error message when I launch the debugger: Runtime Error! Program: C:\E810\\bin32\LaunchJVM.exe

I also get: CreateService failed. Unable to continue.

Can someone help me out?

Yes, there is a known bug with the 8.10 StandAlone installation routine. The BPMBroker is partially deleted when the 2nd CD runs.

The fix is to take the BPMBroker.zip file from the 1st CD, and uncompress the contents to C:\Program Files\JDEdwards. Create the directory structure if it does not exist. Make sure that the unZipping process creates a BPMBroker directory under JDEdwards.

There isn't a BPMBroker.zip file on my CD. But, I did see a folder entitled BPMBroker. I copied the contents, but it didn't fix the problem. Am I missing something?

That directory probably contains a setup.exe file for BPMBroker. Shut down E1, try running the setup program, and login to try debugging again.
