data selection values

We have a system 55 report object version where the data selection values look OK in central objects and when viewed from a fat client which has the package change deployed to it. However, on the Ap server when the report runs the data selection values must be wrong. Resubmitting the version specs seems to solve the problem. Is there an issue with data selection getting lost on the Ap server ???
We are on XE Update 4, SP 20

Did that package include all the specs? Did you do a get to get the specs for the report, template and BSVW to see if the data selection got lost/changed/unchanged?

Basically, the report was working fine then stopped working as if data
selection values were wrong. Resubmitting version specs seemed to cure
the problem.

I am assuming thata data selection values are stored in the report
version specs so how would the te,plate/bus view affect this ?
