Creating new Enterprise Server with a different name

I'm running JDE B7333 SP24 on a Windows 2000 Server currently.

I need to get a new Enterprise server running with a different name, running on Windows Server 2003 & SQL Server 2000 SP4.

I've attached the Production DB to the new server, imported the ODBC registry file, created the two JDE services & copied over all the spec files.

I've edited my jde.ini file in two places to point at the new server and it lets me log in. When I create a test Work Order for example though it creates it in the current/incumbent server.

Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong or what I need to do?

Thanks

Have you updated your datasource definitions.?

Have you updated the ODBC definitions ?

you need also to update your OCM records for system and copy the OCM records from server map of the "old" current server, to the new one

All these tips are part of the story, but you might get a more complete picture if you created and ran an Installation Plan to add the new Enterprise Server to your configuration. This will take care of creating the new data source for the new server, the new OCM mappings so you can choose the new server to run UBEs, and various other places that need to be populated.

You still need to add the ODBC entries yourself, though.
