Hi,
can anyone tell me just how does the F0902 sum balances from the F0911? I have looked at this for a while now, whilst i know which account number i need i just acnnot seem to get them to tally.
Many thanks
Sean

Hi Sean,
I'm not an accounting guy but i believe that F0902 is just a monthly financial summary (including begining balances) of the transactions that are entered in F0911. You need to use the account ID field in these files (AID), not the account number, to properly link the information.
Hope that helps,
Dave

Hi,

The F0902 holds a balance for each account for each fiscal year and
ledger type.

Depending on if it is a Balance sheet account, or a P&L account would
determine if there is a balance brought forward.

There is also a separate F0902 record for each subledger within each
account. If you look at a standard JDE inquiry screen, the default is to
show the balance for all subledgers totalled for each account.

If you want to check that the F0911 matches the F0902 there is a
standard integrity report R09705 that can do this.

Should there be an error, you can do a repost again this is a UBE
R099102 that can do this.

This will not however get rid of a balance if there is one on the F0902
with no F0911 records as it reads through the F0911 to then determine
what the F0902 should be.

If the error is in a prior year then you will also have to redo the YE
close in order to update the balance BF. If you need any more help drop
me a line
