ASUs and Language Override

Hi JDEList,

We develop on a OW system and translate our custom objects to our Hungarian language. Our techs build an ASU from these objects and install this ASU on other OW System.

Tech guys say that the ASU contains our language override but they are missing on the target system after ASU installation.

I found only one SAR for XE which describes the same problem.
Unfortunately this SAR is in 09 - Closed - No Further Action

Does anybody know about that is it already a solved problem on XE?

It will be also highly appreciate, if somebody can give me a guide-line, how to modify Spec Merge object(s) to install Language Overrides too.

Does anybody else have the same issue?
If yes, how did you handle it?

Hi Zoltan,
We have the same problem with our ASUs. We simply add Access database
with translation records to add them manually after ASU installation.

Thanks a lot for your answer!

The problem is for us, that this is a repeatadly (???) daily process for our tech guys and it is very heavy task to do so, mainly, when the project/ASU contains more then then 100 objects, including everything fine, like DD, UDC, APPL, UBE, DSTR (PO) etc., which can have (and have) VOs.

We would like to find a real and not a time consumpsion method.
Some months ago, I inspected the Merge Objects, how to modify them, but now I have to start from the base-line.

If we find a solution, I will let you know - Please, do so.
