Application Type in Menu Creation -> Task Revisions

Hi
Can anyone tell me what is Application Type in the task revisions screen of menu creation for an interactive application.
There are 3 values - Blank - mode 1, 1-mode2 and 2 - mode 3.
The values come from H90/TL UDC.
